3 Ways to be More Bold as a Christian

_____________________________________

In today's day and age, it’s getting more difficult to be outspoken about being a Christian. Whether at school, work, or maybe even at home, there’s always going to be someone who will try and make you look bad for your faith but that’s why it’s important to stay solid in your foundation in Christ. There are many ways to do that like wearing a Christian shirt or even just the way you live reflecting Christ. Here are just a few ways you can become more bold in your faith.

1) Wearing a Christian Shirt

As said before, wearing a Christian shirt can be an incredible way to spread the word and stand firm. From personal experience, whenever I wear my Joshua 1 shirts, people will go out of their way to come and talk to me about it. For someone who might be more introverted or shy about talking to people about their faith, a Christian shirt is perfect because they won’t have to confront people. Instead, people will confront them and they can take it away from there. Aside from sharing about it, people will notice and know by your shirt that you’re a Christian whether you decide to talk about it or not. It’s one of the easiest things you can do to be bold!

2) Living a Life to Glorify God

It all boils down to how you choose to live. Although wearing a Christian shirt is a super visual and obvious way to express your faith, the thing that will make the greatest impact will be how you live. You can wear a Christian shirt but if you go out and party every night and are constantly acting like you’re better than others, the shirt means nothing. The difference is made when you unconditionally love everyone, no matter who they are or what they’ve done. Even if it’s just going to talk to someone you normally wouldn’t talk to, you’re putting in the effort to know them. Just be fearless about it. The point is to actively show people Jesus because you might be the closest that someone gets to Him. As William J. Toms said the best, “Be careful how you live. You may be the only Bible some person ever reads.”

3) Know Whose You Are

Yes, that is correct. Knowing who you are in this world is important, but knowing who you belong to is much more crucial. Here at Joshua 1, we have a shirt that says, “Remember who you are”. It’s as simple as that sometimes. Remember that you belong to Jesus and nothing else. No matter what people will say or do that might bring you down, because in the end, you belong to God and that’s all that matters. Because of this you can have joy and peace wherever you go and whatever the circumstance. It’ll be evident to those around you and they’ll desire that light that radiates off of you.

So, go and be bold for Christ! Live like He is the one that made you and the one that saved you, because in the end, Jesus did exactly that. Be bold for Him and He will make a way for you. You are His child, live like it.
